As I write my last blog post for 2011 I wanted to give a shout out to those blogs that encourage me, make me laugh, or have challenged me throughout this past year. So much of the social media world can be all about only promoting ourselves, trying to make a platform, being noticed, etc.. I wanted to take the day to say thank you to these bloggers and encourage you to check them out as well. So here goes some of my favorite bloggers and websites of the past year…
http://www.jonacuff.com This is a site probably many of you are familiar with but Jon gives great advice for pursuing your dreams and Christian satire.
http://www.tylerstanton.com/On this site Tyler offers many hilarious videos and lists that always make me laugh. One of my recent favorites was “Christmas gifts for an enemy”.
http://www.jesusneedsnewpr.net/ This blog challenges me to look at many issues from a different perspective. If you are easily offended you should probably just avoid this site. If however you interested in hearing various christian views as well as non-believers on religious issues then check out this site. It offers many funny pictures as well as serious articles.
http://bryanallain.com/If you are looking for a daily dose of humor then look no further than this website. One of my favorite series from Bryan is his “Truth about ______” videos. The truth about toys video is super funny!
http://www.ragamuffinsoul.com/ Carlos Whittaker inspires us to go deeper in our faith while loving those around us. If you are looking for some practical inspiration then this is a good site for you.
http://www.knoxmccoy.com/ This site is worth checking out for the “Monday Morning Meatloaf” alone! You are welcome.
http://seekingpastor.wordpress.com/ Matt mixes things up on this website from caption contests, funny spiritual lessons, serious family posts, and humorous future posts. Give this website a gander…yep I said gander it is worth your time.
http://christospistikos.wordpress.com Through this blog my close friend Scott always pushes me to dig deeper into God’s word. If you are looking to go deeper in your walk with God then check out this site.
